The John Blue Cotton Festival committee welcomes applications from both craft and food vendors for our annual festival. The following information is presented to provide answers for frequently asked questions and to outline rules all vendors must adhere to if participating in our festival. Following this informational portion, you will find the vendor application, available to download, complete, and mail in to apply for the John Blue Cotton Festival. A map of the vendor area is also available. If you have additional questions, please email us through the provided contact link. Rules:
FOOD VENDORS must list each item you wish to sell on the application. The committee will restrict the number of similar items available for sale and approval of such items will be accepted on an earliest entry basis. Examples of such items include, but are not limited to, funnel cakes, lemonade, snow cones, philly cheesesteaks, ice cream, and collard sandwiches. Limitation of similar food items also applies to one day food vendors. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: VENDORS USING WARMING OR COOKING DEVICES MUST HAVE A CHARGED AND INSPECTED FIRE EXTINGUISHER VISIBLE IN THEIR BOOTH AREA.
CRAFT VENDORS: All crafts must be handmade by the applicant. All items for sale in the booth must be listed on the application. Absolutely no mass produced or imported items may be sold. Failure to comply with this may deny you the opportunity to participate in future festivals. Craft vendors may also demonstrate and sale, or demonstrate and exhibit only. See application form for specifics on these levels. While limitations of similar craft items will not be as stringent as those on food items, the committee reserves the right to limit sales of duplicate craft items. Every effort will be made to consider the variations of styles in some craft areas, but if an abundance of same item applications are received, then acceptance will be determined on an earliest entry basis. Examples of such items include, but are not limited to, pocketbooks/handbags, crocheted and quilted items, soaps, baskets, etc. limitation of similar craft items also applies to one day craft vendors.
